Our free trip "doon the watter" on Saturday 18th September is once again proving a popular highlight of the busy Doors Open Day festival in Glasgow.
Glasgow's Doors Open Day has gradually expanded into a festival of Glasgow's Built Heritage that runs this year from Tuesday 14th through to Sunday 19th September. The focus is on the weekend, when more than 100 buildings around the city will be open to the public.
After a successful launch last year, we are once again sponsoring a free 90 minute river trip from Pacific Quay to Clydebank. The journey down river includes commentary on the history of the Clyde and information about the regeneration that is taking place along the river. The trip is now fully booked.
Other highlights this year include the unveiling of the Glasgow House, a specially built eco house demonstrating an energy efficient design created by Glasgow Housing Association.
The recently refurbished Grand Central Hotel on Gordon Street is also offering guided tours.
